The New Casa

The exterior of the home was what first attracted me to the property.  I grew up in a yellow house with a lot of windows, similar to this one.  The glass porch is so pretty.

The two car garage where I'll work on a lot of my furniture refinishing projects!  Can't wait.

There are wood floors throughout the home (original), and they were painstakingly maintained by the owner, along with everything else.  Their agent (the daughter in law of the former owner, who has passed away) said he poured his heart and soul into this house...and it shows, it is so well taken-care of.

My husband really wanted a fireplace, so he was very happy to see this home has one.  Now I just need to learn how to use one.

The sunroom and 2nd door out to the front porch.  Here you can see more of the flooring, too.

Walk up to the attic.

The basement.  The prospect of having our own washer/dryer is almost too exciting to imagine.  Ha.

The backyard...a mass of foliage -- the layout is a bit odd, because there are bushes smack in the middle, but I'm going to try to transplant what I can around the perimeter.

His gardening spade was still out on the bench.

Going up the stairs.

The main bathroom -- vintage subway tile.  Me likey.

There are 2 built in bookshelves with glass doors in between the dining room and the living room.  The small staircase behind leads to the upstairs and is a pass through into the kitchen.  The kitchen is not pictured, because there's not really anything to see!  However, I'll get more up the next time we're back in the house!
